this week's wanderings

Earlier in the week (before all the kids turned up sick and sleepy) we ventured out to the River Trail Nature Center in Northbrook with some friends. We spent some time viewing the animals and playing in the beautiful indoor space.

Determined to act as though spring is actually here, we went out on the trails to picnic and play.

I don't know why I am so in love with taking pictures of my children's feet right now. It is silly, I know. But bear with me. Soon the boots will give way to sandals and then to bare toes, and last fall's dry leaves will be replaced with green grasses and sandy shores. It is on the way, I assure you.

These shots of our wanderings have been added to the Where we Wander Flickr group, along with some beautiful photos others have shared. Have some pictures of your wanderings to share? Come on over. Boots optional.

What a nice way to kick of spring. It's great to get outdoors properly.

I think children have the monopoly on cute footwear whatever the season! x

I like the feet in motion. ; ) It's a creative way to capture your day.
